Kilimanjaro uses East Africa Time (EATEAT — East Africa Time. Other East African countries, in addition to Tanzania, that use EAT include: Djibouti, Kenya, the Comoros Islands, Madagascar, Somalia, Sudan, Uganda, Eritrea, Ethiopia, and South Sudan.). The time zone is UTC+3.

Kilimanjaro does not observe daylight savings time, meaning there is no difference in summer time and winter time. Due to its proximity to the equator, there is minimal variation in daylight hours throughout the year.
