Altezza Travel Named Best Northern Zone Tour Operator at the Inaugural Serengeti Awards

On January 31, 2026, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Tourism of Tanzania presented the first-ever Serengeti Awards. We are proud to announce that Altezza Travel was named the Best Tour Operator in the Northern Tourism Zone.

What are the Serengeti Awards?

The Serengeti Awards are a new initiative by the Ministry designed to recognize excellence, innovation, and a commitment to sustainability within Tanzania’s tourism sector. By honoring industry leaders, the government is setting new national benchmarks for quality and ethical business practices.

Our team is proud to be among the inaugural winners. We believe this initiative is a vital step forward for the industry, and we hope it becomes an annual tradition that inspires every operator in Tanzania to support critical wildlife conservation projects across Africa.

This award serves as the ultimate recognition of everything we achieved together in 2025. Last year was truly defining for Altezza Travel:

• We became the first operator in Tanzania to successfully earn both B Corp and Travelife certifications, proving our commitment to social and environmental impact.
• We were named the Leading Tour Operator in Tanzania at the World Tourism Awards 2025.
• Our company was recognized as the largest taxpayer in the Kilimanjaro region, underscoring our role in supporting local development.

We believe that this victory at the Serengeti Awards will serve as the foundation for an even more impactful and productive 2026. We look forward to another year of providing world-class adventures while protecting the natural heritage of Tanzania.
