In Tanzania, a large part of the tourism industry is directly or indirectly linked to hunting. Many lodges, aviation companies, and even safari operators are owned by hunting groups or work closely with them.We do not sell, promote, or collaborate with any companies, lodges, or services associated with the hunting industry or with activities that exploit wildlife for entertainment. We believe that wild animals must remain wild, free, and unharmed, observed only in their natural habitat. Our safaris are built on respect for wildlife and on partnerships that align with responsible, non-consumptive tourism. This principle guides every decision we make and every experience we create.
5
Top-Tier Safari Guides
Expert Guides & Guest Support
We Hire Only the Most Qualified Safari Guides
We work exclusively with highly trained, full-time safari guides and offer some of the most competitive salaries in the Tanzanian safari industry. This allows us to attract and retain specialists who truly understand Tanzania’s wildlife, birdlife, reptile species, ecosystems, and natural history.
Due to the lack of strict regulation, many guides have limited training and only a basic level of wildlife knowledge. At Altezza, your guide is a seasoned professional with extensive experience who will ensure your safari is both safe and memorable.

Private Fleet of Modern 4×4 Vehicles (2020–2025)
Vehicles & Comfort
Our Own Fleet of New 4x4 Safari Vehicles
2020–2026 Models Maintained In-House
We operate our own fleet of modern Toyota Land Cruisers manufactured between 2020 and 2025. Because we own these vehicles rather than renting them, we maintain full control over safety, comfort, maintenance standards, and reliability throughout your safari.
On-Board Wi-Fi
Every vehicle is equipped with on-board Wi-Fi, allowing you to stay connected whenever network reception is available. Coverage can be limited in remote parts of the savannah, but wherever a signal exists, you will have access to the internet during your journey.
9
5-Seat Extended-Space Layout
Vehicles & Comfort
Our Signature “Altezza Style” Layout
Most of our safari vehicles are configured as 5-seaters: four seats in the back and one next to the driver. In the same long-base Land Cruisers where almost all operators install six seats, we intentionally keep only four passenger seats in the rear. This gives you much more legroom, easier movement inside the vehicle, and clear, unobstructed viewing angles for wildlife observation. We introduced this configuration in 2015, and it has become so well known for its comfort and premium feel that even manufacturers now refer to this layout as the “Altezza style”.
10
Fridge and Cold Drinks
Vehicles & Comfort
Every Vehicle Equipped With a Fridge and Cold Drinks
All our safari vehicles are fitted with built-in fridges stocked with cold beverages. It is a small detail, but it makes a noticeable difference during long game drives in the warm savannah and helps keep you comfortable throughout the day.
11
Optional Snack Bar
Vehicles & Comfort
Optional Snack Bar for Your Safari
Clients can pre-order a personalized snack bar for their safari vehicle. We will send you a link to choose your preferred snacks and drinks, which will be prepared and placed in the vehicle before your safari begins.
12
No Daily Mileage Limits
Vehicles & Comfort
No Daily Mileage Limits on Our Safari Vehicles
Our safari vehicles operate without daily mileage restrictions. If you would like to stay longer in the park, explore more areas, or extend your game drives, we are happy to accommodate your plans as long as park regulations and closing times are respected.
This flexibility allows you to enjoy your safari at your own pace, without the limitations imposed by mileage caps.
13
In-House Garage & Strict Maintenance Protocols
Vehicles & Comfort
Every Vehicle Serviced to Safety Standards
Altezza operates its own garage and maintains every safari vehicle according to a strict schedule. Each car undergoes detailed checklists and technical inspections before every trip to ensure full reliability on the road. This level of control allows us to guarantee that your vehicle is safe, properly serviced, and ready for long days in the parks.
14
We Never Drive Off-Road
Vehicles & Comfort
Protecting Wildlife and Fragile Ecosystems
We strictly follow national park rules and never drive off-road. Leaving marked routes accelerates soil erosion, crushes fragile plants, destroys bird nests, harms insects, and can even kill hidden young animals like serval kittens. Staying on roads helps protect Tanzania’s ecosystems for the long term.
Your safari should respect the landscapes you explore, and with Altezza, it always does.
15
All Clients Are Covered by Flying Doctors
Safety
Fast Emergency Air Support
All Altezza safari guests are automatically covered by Flying Doctors, which provides rapid air evacuation in case of a medical emergency. Unlike standard travel insurance, which may take hours to authorize assistance, Flying Doctors can respond within minutes. When time is critical, this speed can be life-saving.
Although Altezza has had no evacuations in 11 years, incidents occur on safaris across Tanzania each month, often due to unsafe driving practices or a lack of seatbelt use. Your safety is our highest priority, and Flying Doctors coverage gives you an additional layer of protection throughout your journey.
16
GPS Speed Monitoring in Every Vehicle
Safety
Ensuring Your Safety on the Transfers
All Altezza safari vehicles are monitored in real time via GPS speed control. Our maximum speed limits are 80 km/h on paved roads outside towns and villages and 50 km/h inside national parks. These limits help ensure safer conditions for guests, wildlife, and other vehicles, and they keep our operations fully compliant with park regulations.
17
$3M Public Liability Insurance
Safety
Altezza is fully insured with $3 million in public liability coverage. This protects both our clients and our staff and reinforces our commitment to responsible, transparent operations. Our coverage gives you the confidence that your safari is backed by strong legal and financial protection at every stage of your trip.
18
Verified Lodge Standards
Lodges & Quality Control
We Personally Inspect Every Lodge We Recommend
We personally inspect every lodge we work with, evaluating service quality, amenities, safety standards, insurance coverage, and overall reliability. You receive detailed, accurate, and current information from firsthand inspections rather than assumptions or outdated listings.
19
Your Safari Is Delivered Entirely by Our Team

Responsible Tourism
Your Safari Helps Support Conservation Projects
Altezza actively supports conservation initiatives across Tanzania’s national parks.

In the Serengeti, we fund de-snaring operations to remove wire traps that harm wildlife.
In Mkomazi, we contribute to protecting black rhinos, one of Africa’s most endangered animals.
Additionally, we organize or help a variety of other social responsibility and conservation projects across Northern Tanzania.
Wildlife Protection Across Tarangire, Serengeti, and Mkomazi
Your safari directly supports conservation in Tanzania
When you travel with us, a portion of your safari goes straight into wildlife protection, reforestation, and community projects across Northern Tanzania.

Perfected Safari Itineraries
Experience & Conclusion
We Design Safaris That Are Never Rushed
With 11 years of experience in Tanzania and thousands of safaris under our belt, we’ve learned how to design routes that offer the highest chance of great wildlife sightings without unnecessary transfers, long drives, or daily repacking. Our itineraries focus on smart park sequencing, efficient logistics, and lodge locations chosen for both comfort and proximity to key wildlife areas.
Think of your safari as a well-paced holiday: start with an early morning game drive, return to the lodge for lunch and a break during the hottest hours, then head out again in the afternoon when animals are active.
Staying three to four nights in one carefully selected lodge is both comfortable and restorative, and it often increases your chances of exceptional wildlife sightings.
