Altezza Travel and Alina their Travel Consultant are exceptional.5 Stars. Many thanks to Allan our Guide and driver for giving us a wonderful experience. He is courteous and knowledgeable and on time. All our accommodations starting with the beautiful TWC Farmhouse (staff)and the cozy Sounds of Silence were well appointed.

The staff are amazing at the Sounds as we spent 3 nights there. One of us celebrated a birthday and all of the staff gave a beautiful birthday celebration it was beyond expectation, they danced and sang beautiful songs plus a heartfelt speech. It lasted at least 20 minutes and all the guests loved it. Wow! It will be on our list of memories.

The food was delicious and nicely presented.

Alina arranged our accommodations for 4 nights at the Tui Blue Bahari in Zanzibar a nice relaxing ending to our very busy schedule. The best all inclusive.

Our total time in Tanzania was 15 days.

We recently completed a 9-day custom safari with Altezza Travel, visiting Lake Natron, Serengeti, Lake Manyara, and Ngorongoro Crater, and it exceeded our expectations in every way.

From start to finish, the trip was impeccably organized. Communication from the Altezza team was seamless from the moment we began planning until the day we were dropped off at the airport, allowing us to relax and enjoy every moment of our adventure.

The wildlife sightings were simply extraordinary. We were fortunate to see elephants, giraffes, zebras, rhinos, wildebeests, Cape buffalo, lions and so much more—including a lion after she triumphantly wrestled a wildebeest in the mud, a cheetah live hunt, and precious leopard cubs. Our guide, Cathbert, was kind, thoughtful, and SO knowledgeable about the wildlife, plants, terrain, history and peoples. Thanks to his expertise, every game drive was filled with awe and wonder. We always felt safe and cared for. We appreciated his great driving too!

We also had the privilege of meeting members of the Maasai tribe, and one of the highlights was hiking to a waterfall at Lake Natron with a local Maasai guide. It was a unique cultural experience that added depth to our safari.

Every place we stayed - including the tented lodges – exceeded our expectations in comfort and luxury. We loved the food and ate too much! The staff everywhere we stayed was warm, attentive, and professional.

Altezza delivered the safari of a lifetime!d (My husband successfully completed the Mt. Kilimanjaro climb with Altezza; like our safari, his expectations were exceeded!)

From arrival in Tanzania at a luxury hotel to the 6 day safari all details were without any complication. We worked primarily with an associate (Victoria) to complete planing with prompt responses to many questions. Our guide (Khalid) was exceptional and could not only get you to the animal sittings but anticipate animal movements for best photos. We are seasoned travellers and I have never taken so many photos. Accommodations and meals at each of our destinations were exceptional (included two different tent camps and another luxury hotel). We can see why Altezza is so highly rated by travelers.

Everything was just perfect. Thanks to Irina, our itinerary was very well organised, every detail was taken care of. Upon arrival, we were given very nice welcome gifts, and we stayed in contact through the whole trip. We had a chance to have the great safari guide, Hussein. Professional, full of knowledge of animals, passionate of his work. He gave us the best possible sighting and unforgettable memories, tracking the rarest of the animals. We were able to enjoy leopard chilling in the tree in Ngorongoro crater, lions feeding and playing with their cubs, a cheetah trying to avoid a group of lions, and incredible wildebeests' river crossing in Serengeti. It was definitely the trip of a lifetime. We will definitely recommend Altezza Travel and please, ask for Hussein! He is the best safari guide ever.

From before we even took off for Tanzania to the time we left for Zanzibar, Altezza was incredible. First, before we even solidified our booking, Altezza (Rita) was incredibly helpful and flexible in crafting a travel plan that best suited our needs. Even after changing from a Kilimanjaro/Safari to a sole safari trip, we felt the same level of care the whole time.

When we landed, we were greeted by a kind and professional driver who was there for us at 2AM, ready to transport us to our first stay (Ngare Sero). Ngare Sero was an excellent stay, offering plenty of amenities and things to do on their large property. We were able to enjoy the pool, their great food, and small lake with a ton of birds and wildlife to see.

The Arusha Coffee Lodge and plantation tour on our second day was a blast. It wasn’t too long, and we felt like we’d learned a lot about the coffee making process. The hands on portion and the lunch were a great way to wrap it up. Our driver Pascal was fun and informative, teaching us any Swahili we requested along the way.

Then, the next day, we met Issac our Safari guide. Isaac was a fundamental piece of what made our trip to Tanzania so amazing. He was one of the hardest working and nicest people I’ve ever met, not to mention he was very knowledgeable about everything we came across - from the local tribes and the different characteristics of each park, down to the precise behavior of each animal we saw.

Isaac was patient with us and read us well. While other drivers would rush towards an animal, Isaac was calm and would slowly but surely get us there, keeping it a calm and very enjoyable experience. Not once did we miss an animal or sight we wanted to see. Through each park for 6 days straight, Isaac never made us feel rushed or as if we were too excited over an animal we’d seen a dozen times before. He treated each sighting as if it were his first too, despite having seen them hundreds of times over his years of experience as a guide.

Isaac worked hard from the start to the end of the day. He was so personable and maintained a lot of energy and a positive attitude start to finish. Saying goodbye to Isaac at the airport before leaving was one of the hardest moments because of how great of a time we had with him. He took our Safari experience to the next level. His expertise, thoughtfulness, and hard work set him apart from any other guide we had along the trip, which reflects upon not only Isaac but Altezza too.

Altezza was incredibly attentive each day too. They checked in with us, the drivers, and were very thoughtful given it was our honeymoon and wife’s birthday. Altezza arranged for a custom “Just Married” tire cover, and a birthday surprise at Nyikani Camp - the staff sang a song and made a cake. At Sopa Lodge, the staff left a fun surprise! Marera Mountain View Lodge was our stay in between Tarangire and Ngorongoro, which was also a lovely accommodation. At every stay Altezza arranged, the staff, food, rooms, and amenities were all top notch. Staying in the lodges felt like a premium, but staying at Nyikani Camp in the Serengeti felt like staying with family. The staff were welcoming and made a personal connection with guests. We wish we could’ve stayed longer!

We look forward to traveling with Altezza again in the future, knowing we can relax and enjoy the trip due to Altezza handling all of the planning and any stressful parts of an international journey. Thank you Rita, Isaac, and everyone else at Altezza who made this trip the honeymoon only one could dream of!

The expert, reliable, detail-oriented, care and people-centered approach of your staff throughout the planning, coordinating and executing of my safari made the experience exceed my expectations! Special mention must be given to my travel manager, Victoria, who worked diligently with me to develop the best safari itinerary for my budget. My safari guide, Stephen, who ensured that my friends and I were safe, comfortable and well-cared for. His knowledge of the Conservation Areas and the National Park and his 20/20 vision allowed us to identify over 67 different species of animals, including the Big 5, which we spotted in two days! I must, also, acknowledge the Altezza Support Team, who checked in daily to ensure that our experience was satisfactory and to provide necessary updates regarding flights and other important information. As promised, Altezza Travel provided a safari adventure of a lifetime! Cheers to more future adventures with Altezza Travel.

I was impressed by Altezza even before I arrived, as having an agent to help with planning who was in a similar time-zone made a huge difference. And the quality of this company was apparent as soon as I landed in Tanzania. All of their hotel and lodge recommendations were excellent as well (reviewed separately). Lots of online follow up and support.

However, I knew they were the best when I got in their identical to those from other companies, Altezza vehicles are very different inside. They are the sole company which has only 4 seats, while all the others have 6 seats (and much less leg room for this reason). This made a giant difference to our experience, as we were often in the Land Cruiser for 8 hours or more on various safari expeditions. Being able to stretch, lean the seat back, and have our bags transported, made a huge difference. Yes, it makes the transportation a bit more expensive, but absolutely worth every penny. I looked at multiple other vehicles while traveling, and none of them had only 4 seats. Kudos to Altezza.

The second reason I rapidly became aware of how excellent they are is when we met Daniel, our guide/driver. Firstly, not only was his English outstanding, and secondly his knowledge was exceptional (he had a degree in wildlife management), but on top of this he is also an outstanding wildlife photographer who has published a book of photos. He was with us every step of our 6-day safari and enhanced it in every way possible. This included sharing with us the photos he took with us (far superior to ours), which has really elevated our memories of this trip and provided photographs that we can share with others (some examples of his photos are attached).

In conclusion, there are multiple reasons why Altezza is the best company to go on Safari with, but I suggest that if you are going for 4-days or more you also try and ask for Daniel specifically for an even more amazing experience.

I had a fantastic experience booking a 10 day vacation in Tanzania with Altezza, which included 6 days of Safari + 3 days in Zanzibar. Everybody from Altezza I interacted with was very helpful and professional. The travel manager (Aiman) was very responsive helpful to book my custom itinerary. During the actual trip, another travel manager (Victoria) stepped in, and she was also extremely helpful and responsive. My whole stay in Tanzania was stress free, as Altezza handled all the hotel bookings, flights from the Tanzania mainland to Zanzibar, airport transfers and the safari itself.

The safari was an unforgettable experience. Seeing so much wildlife in their natural habitat was truly awesome. Special shout out to our driver/guide, Paschal, who is an expert driver and extremely knowledgeable about the Tanzanian fauna and flora. It was a pleasure having him as our safari guide. Also, Altezza’s car was kept in excellent condition (cleaned inside and out every day, even in the middle of the savannah). For small groups (up to 4 people), Altezza’s cars have an advantage over most of the other safari cars I saw in my trip: they’re all the same size, but Altezza’s car has 4 seats while all of the other cars I saw had 6, so we had more legroom. Nice!

All in all, I highly recommend Altezza for a safari trip in Tanzania!

My husband and I planned our 3 week honeymoon through Altezza and it was the best experience we could've ever had! We did one week of safari, one week hiking Mount Kilimanjaro, and one week in Zanzibar. Altezza planned the entire trip, picking us up from every airport, seamlessly transferring us between our activities, and making sure we had the most amazing time.

Sophie at Altezza was our Travel Advisor. We worked with her for months and months planning the perfect itinerary. She blew us away! She would work odd hours in Tanzania just to be able to speak to us on the phone. She arranged for us to have the best accommodations, and she had champagne and a honeymoon sign waiting for us at every step along the way!

During our first week on safari, we had Cathbert as our driver and had a completely private tour all week! Cathbert was incredible - we somehow would find all animals before anyone else! He even had a "just married" sign on the back of our safari car. We saw the big 5 and MORE. It was the coolest experience ever.

During our second week, we hiked Mount Kilimanjaro through the 7-day Machame route with Joseph, Kelvin, Regis, Adrian leading our team of 9 hikers. All of 9 of summited! It would not have been possible without the porters and crew. Altezza was extremely professional on the mountain and personally made sure we all summitted. I would not feel comfortable with any other company now that we experienced Altezza's care.

And finally, during our third week we flew to Zanzibar where Altezza somehow managed to secure us one of only 3 private villas at our hotel! It was the perfect wind-down from the hike.

Wow wow wow! Altezza got a group of 7 of us up to the summit and back safely. They set up camp and portable toilets for us, the food was delicious, the crew catered to our every need. Two medical checkups every day. The campsites are very high quality - tents, sleeping bags, toilets, dining tent - all top notch. 

Our lead guide Joshua was perfect - very knowledgeable and a very good communicator. We enjoyed Joshua’s daily briefings and he was an excellent leader. The crew was incredible - they sang Swahili songs to lift our spirits and get us to the top. They were very attentive on the trail and lent a helping hand for large or awkward steps, and even offered their arms on the descent. 

They happily carried some of our packs. The camp manager, BillDad, ran the campground and was invaluable at camp, making sure we were clean and comfortable. Frankie, the food server, kept us well fed and entertained us with his singing. 

Daily on the trail, we would find Frankie waiting for us with a station set up for tea and snacks. All the guides were very approachable and we had good conversations. 

Our son loved sharing his music with Ernest (portable toilet porter), Goodluck (guide) and Regan (guide in training). Overall a fantastic experience - we could not recommend them more!
