Elewana Serengeti Pioneer Camp

Elewana Serengeti Pioneer Camp 5*

Safari has always been a real adventure - both for the first-ever explorers and modern adventurous daredevils. Serengeti Pioneer Camp by Elewana, located in the southern part of central Serengeti, offers an excellent combination of comfort and the atmosphere of the time of exploring this part of Africa by adventurers. Tents are equipped with en-suite bathrooms with hot running water and vanity basins, queen size beds, and a swimming pool. The interior decor reminds you of the times of the adventurers who explored Serengeti in the 1930’s.

“Pioneer” is another word for a pathfinder. At Serengeti Pioneer Camp, you can feel like one and imagine you've not just set out on a safari game drive, but paved the first-ever trails in the placeы never before imprinted by the foot of man. You can recover from the thorny path of the explorer on your coming back to the Camp for lunch, or right amidst the African savannah. A dinner at the Camp under the bright starts would be a great way to celebrate the daytime success.

Accommodation at Serengeti Pioneer Camp by Elewana is a true specialty to experience the best of what Serengeti can offer: watching the Great Migration and the Big Five of Africa, spiced with a luxury camping and spectacular savannah views!

Elewana Serengeti Pioneer Camp on the map

Serengeti Pioneer Camp by Elewana is located within the Moru Kopjes region in the southern part of the Central Serengeti plains. Moru Kopjes are rocky outcrops of historical significance: here you can find ancient Maasai paintings and hear phenomenal musical gong rocks. From here, guests can catch the dramatic view of the Great Migration when wildebeests and zebras are passing there from June to August. A 30-minute drive will take you to the Lake Magadi where you can enjoy the view of pink flamingos and other varied birdlife of Serengeti.

Starting from the secluded Serengeti Pioneer Camp and its bush surroundings, you can experience the adventure of Central Serengeti safari to its fullest, watching the Big Five of African savannah - a lion, a leopard, a buffalo, an elephant and a rhino. Moru Kopjes is home to the only black rhinoceros population in Serengeti! Only the luckiest ones have the chance to see rhinos whose numbers have declined dramatically in the recent years. So be one of them!
