Situated on the slopes of Mt. Meru Ngare Sero Lodge is an ideal place to dive into the local flora and fauna and melt in the beauty of East Africa. The lodge previously was a colonial farmhouse built in early 20th century. Therefore, Ngare Sero Mountain Lodge in Arusha is one of the oldest family lodges and preserves a lot of history. It is a perfect place for the overnights in between Kilimanjaro climbing and safaris as well as for the longer stays. Ngare Sero provides ten beautiful garden rooms in old colonial style, two suites in the main house, one farm cottage with 3 bedrooms and one freshly-built summit suite located on the top of the main house.
For those who prefer to take their time and enjoy the African beauty as much as possible, Ngare Sero offers gondola tours in the lake located on its territory, bird-watching in their lush jungle grove, horse riding, mountain biking around Mt. Meru slopes and croquet.

It’s an only 1-hour drive to the closest Arusha National Park, 40-minute drive from Kilimanjaro International Airport and a 40-minute drive to the city centre of Arusha. Ngare Sero Lodge is situated in a unique natural habitat. Lush jungle trees hide over 200 different species of birds, a private mirror lake with a diversity of frogs and fish and of course, monkeys who love to entertain tourists.
